SEBASTIAN JUNGER
Award-Winning Journalist and Bestselling Author (The Perfect Storm, WAR) Sebastian Junger is the internationally acclaimed, bestselling author of "The Perfect Storm," "A Death in Belmont" and "Fire." As a contributing editor to Vanity Fair and as a contributor to ABC News, he has covered major news stories. He has been awarded the National Magazine Award and an SAIS Novartis Prize for Journalism. Junger and photojournalist Tim Hetherington embedded with the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team in Afghanistan. Reporting from the soldiers' perspective, Junger was at an outpost that saw more combat than almost anywhere else in the country. The result is his recent book, "WAR," and the Academy Award-nominated documentary, "Restrepo," that won the 2010 Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and aired on the National Geographic Channel

Shirley Jones
In an ‘Actors Studio-style' presentation hosted by Jerry Goehring, Executive Director of The Edgerton Center. In addition to videos clips of her career, the afternoon will feature a talkback with Ms. Jones answering questions from the audience
Named after Shirley Temple, Jones was singing in the church choir at the age of six. When she decided to move to New York, her parents gave her $160 for the trip. She promised to return when the money ran low, but it never did.
On stage, she starred in Show Boat, The Sound of Music, South Pacific and The King and I, among many others. On film, she starred in "Oklahoma!" and" Carousel," both with Gordon MacRae and "The Music Man" with Robert Preston. She won an Oscar in 1960, playing a prostitute in "Elmer Gantry" with Burt Lancaster. She met actor Jack Cassidy in a 1950s stage production of "Oklahoma!" and they married. He became familiar to America as a perennial TV "guest star" and in the early 1970s, his son David co-starred with Jones in "The Partridge Family." Jones divorced him in the mid-1970s. In 1977, Jones married comedian Marty Ingels.

John Douglas, Legendary Profiler and FBI Investigative Support Unit Founder
John Douglas has hunted some of the most notorious and sadistic criminals of our time: the ‘Trailside Killer' in San Francisco, the ‘Atlanta child murderer,' the ‘Tylenol poisoner' and' Seattle's Green River killer,' the case that nearly ended his own life. He currently has an MSNBC pilot in development called "Mindhunter," in which cameras follow him into prisons where he interviews convicts. He confronted, interviewed and studied hundreds of serial killers - including Charles Manson, Richard Speck, John Wayne Gacy, David Berkowitz (Son of Sam), Donald Harvey and James Earl Ray - for a landmark study, to understand their motives and to get inside their minds. Former Special Agent John Douglas is a legendary figure in law enforcement and the model for the Scott Glenn character in "The Silence of the Lambs."

An Evening with Brian Cashman, New York Yankees General Manager &
THEO EPSTEIN, Boston Red Sox General Manager
and "Hot Stove Talk" as they discuss baseball, their jobs and the Yankees and Red Sox.
Brian Cashman The 2009 New York Yankees won an unprecedented 27th World Championship, the most in any professional sport, behind clutch hitting, accurate pitching and key decision making in the front office. The team became the 4th World Series champion assembled by Senior Vice President and General Manager Brian Cashman. His 12 years in that role also includes 10 division titles and 6 American League pennants. When Brian won his first title in 1998, he became the youngest GM ever to build a World Series winning team and the only GM ever to do so in all of his first three seasons.
THEO EPSTEIN Theo Epstein is in his ninth season as General Manager of the Boston Red Sox and oversees the club's entire baseball operations. Under his leadership, the last eight years have brought unprecedented success to the organization. In that span, the Red Sox have posted a .578 winning percentage, second best among the 30 Major League teams, won 95 or more games on six occasions and advanced to postseason play six times in eight years.

Few entertainers today are as accomplished or versatile as Ben Vereen. His legendary performances transcend time and have been woven into the fabric of this country's artistic legacy. His first love and passion is and always will be the stage. On Broadway, Ben Vereen has appeared in Wicked, Fosse, I'm Not Rappaport, Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Pippin, Grind, Jelly's Last Jam and A Christmas Carol. His role in Pippin garnered him both the prestigious Tony Award and the Drama Desk Award for Best Actor in a Musical.
For over 40 years, he has showcased his versatility and creativity, performing countless one-man shows not only in the United States, but also Europe, Asia and the Caribbean. He was the first simultaneous winner of the Entertainer of the Year, Rising Star, and Song and Dance Star awards from the American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA).

A VIEW from "LEFT to RIGHT"...An evening of political discussion focused on the "Upcoming Presidential Election Review" featuring well know political commentator Tucker Carlson of Fox News Channel and The Washington Post writer EuGene Robinson.
TUCKER CARLSON is a veteran journalist and political commentator, currently working for the Fox News Channel. Carlson is also the editor-in-chief of TheDailyCaller.com, a news and opinion site. Carlson joined Fox from MSNBC, where he hosted several nightly programs. Previously he was the cohost of Crossfire on CNN. During the same period, Carlson also hosted a weekly public affairs program on PBS. A longtime writer, Carlson has reported from around the world, including dispatches from Iraq, Pakistan, Lebanon and Vietnam. He has been a columnist for New York Magazine and Reader's Digest. He currently writes for Esquire and The New York Times magazine. His most recent book is entitled, "Politicians, Partisans and Parasites: My Adventures in Cable News." In 2006, he appeared on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."
EUGENE H. ROBINSON uses his column in The Washington Post to pick American society apart and then put it back together again in unexpected and revelatory new ways. Robinson relies on a large and varied tool kit: energy, curiosity, elegant writing and the wide-ranging experience of a life that took him from childhood in the segregated South-on what they called the "colored" side of the tracks - to the heights of American Journalism. His remarkable story-telling ability has won him wide acclaim, most notably as the winner of the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for his commentary on the 2008 presidential race that resulted in the election of America's first African-American president.
In a 25-year career at The Washington Post, he has been city hall reporter, city editor, foreign correspondent in Buenos Aires and London, foreign editor and assistant managing editor in charge of the paper's award winning Style section.

Mickey Rooney
in an ‘Actors Studio-style' presentation hosted by Jerry Goehring, Executive Director of The Edgerton Center. In addition to videos clips of his career, the afternoon will feature a talkback with Mr. Rooney answering questions from the audience.
Mickey Rooney is an American film actor and entertainer whose film, television and stage appearances span nearly his entire lifetime. He has won multiple awards, including an Honorary Academy Award, a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award. Working as a performer since he was a child, he was a superstar as a teenager for the films in which he played Andy Hardy, and he has had one of the longest careers of any actor, to date spanning almost 90 years. He is the last surviving male star from 1930s Hollywood. For a younger generation of fans, he gained international fame for his leading role as Henry Dailey in The Family Channel's "The Adventures of the Black Stallion," as well as the film itself.
He won a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award for his role in 1981's "Bill" playing opposite Dennis Quaid. Rooney did the voices for four Christmas TV animated specials: "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town," "The Year Without a Santa Claus," "Rudolph" and "Frosty's Christmas in July," and" A Miser Brothers' Christmas."
