Broadway star Drew Gehling will perform at Shakespeare on The Sound's Masquerade Gala on Saturday, April 5th alongside fellow Broadway talent to benefit the organization's summer production of Twelfth Night and their educational programs.

Drew Gehling is best known for originating the role of Dr. Pomatter in the hit Broadway musical, Waitress, with music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles. His other Broadway credits include originating the role of Warren Smith in On a Clear Day You Can See Forever and Bob Gaudio in Jersey Boys. Joining Drew will be Nick Rehberger (Fiddler on The Roof), Emily Schultheis (Wicked), Emily Ferranti (Wicked), and Sadie Seelert (Mary Poppins.)

The Gala will take place at The Loading Dock in Stamford, CT where the space will be transformed into an elegant Masquerade Ball, inspired by the mystery & mistaken identity themes in Twelfth Night. The magical evening, catered by renowned chef Abigail Kirsch, will commence with a cocktail hour featuring signature drinks and live music, followed by a pre-performance three-course dinner and live auction. There will be an on-going silent auction throughout.

Shakespeare on the Sound is committed to producing affordable, professional open-air productions of the plays of William Shakespeare and related authors in Fairfield County. Working in collaboration with area civic, business and educational institutions, Shakespeare on the Sound presents an annual theatre festival, which brings great dramatic works to a broad audience, creating a forum for learning, appreciation and celebration. Our Educational programming goal is to build community through the arts, giving the works of Shakespeare a vibrant life beyond the summer festival with a variety of school, library, adult education, and art programs as a means to reach a diverse cross-section of people of all ages and economic backgrounds.
