Downtown Cabaret Theatre Stages ANNIE

The sun will come out at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport, CT, beginning Friday, November 30 - December 30 as Annie hits the Mainstage. This musical provides the perfect holiday adventure for families, in the Cabaret's unique and historic setting. Having been a staple in the community for almost 40 years, patrons love the "Bring Your Own Picnic" atmosphere and the talent that comes through. Amongst its glittering history, boasts: Kelli O'Hara receiving her Equity card in a production of Phantom at the DCT.

Based on the popular comic strip, this perfect family-friendly musical has become a worldwide phenomenon. The beloved book and score by Tony Award winners, Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, features some of the greatest musical theatre hits ever written. With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of Miss Hannigan's orphanage. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

Under the direction of Broadway's Frank Root, DCT's Annie stars a fantastic cast of local talent including: Corinne Marshall as Miss Hannigan, Tony Republicano as Daddy Warbucks, Sara Winant as Grace, and Brooke Lynn Murray and Olivia Jansen sharing the title role of Annie.
