Milford Arts Council, in association with Pantochino Productions Inc. presents Devin Bing in its second season of Nite Spot Nights at the Milford Center for the Arts, 40 Railroad Avenue in Downtown Milford. Bing will share his "palpable energy" and "transformative heat" (Broadway World) with Downtown Milford on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at 8 pm.
Nite Spot Nights offers six 'night club' style evenings of live music. Evoking the feeling of New York City cabaret rooms, the series is a varied collection of musical performances by some of the city's hottest acts. To enhance the experience, the Milford Center for the Arts is set with tables and chairs, inviting patrons to BYOEEE - Bring Your Own Everything Except the Entertainment. Wine, beer, soft drinks, and snacks are also available in the Speakeasy Lounge. The Milford Center for the Arts has been called "the sweetest little theatre along the Connecticut coastline," featuring an intimate, cabaret setting with outstanding acoustics.
The New York Times calls Devin Bing's voice "smooth as a martini," stating "What distinguishes Mr. Bing from other sweet-talking, slick-haired pop loverboys is his mixture of original material with popular standards arranged in a post-Stevie Wonder style." Devin's natural charisma, his energy and exuberance, complimented by a classic sophistication appeals to even the most discerning palette.
Bing combines the swagger of a bygone era with his own charismatic brand of urban jazz. Every evening with him promises a scintillating journey of smooth vocals, elegant beats and a seductive air of elegance that leaves his audience spellbound. The Huffington Post writes, "Blessed with his own sound, I can't imagine a fan not taken hostage by an earful of Bing! Devin must be seen live to capture the excitement he generates!"
Paige Miglio, Executive Director of Milford Arts Council states, "We are very excited to be working with Pantochino in welcoming such amazing talent to Milford. You no longer have to head to the city, we are bringing the city to you!" Bert Bernardi of Pantochino Productions adds, "This is the perfect program to expand what we offer, We love bringing something unique and different to our audiences-it's what we do
