Playhouse on Park continues its Season Nine Comedy Series, presented by Series Sponsor Shop Rite, on Saturday, February 3 at 8pm. Tickets are now on sale for the show featuring co-headliners Kendra Cunningham and Dave Rattigan.
As an older, divorced dad with a young daughter, Dave Rattigan has gained new perspective at the cost of sleep, patience and logical thought. That's just one area the veteran Boston comedian covers in his act, which he's performed at clubs, theaters, corporate shows, bowling alleys, colleges, coffeehouses, shopping mall food courts, hospitals, a library, and office parks. His CD (Dave Rattigan: Thinks He's Funny) receives airplay on Sirius satellite radio and other stations and podcasts, and his video clips have run on NickMom.com and RooftopComedy.com. An award-winning journalist and former columnist for North Shore Sunday and the glossy North Shore magazine, he has written humor for the Boston Globe, Christian Science Monitor, and others. He has performed in the Boston Comedy Festival, Hampton Beach Comedy Festival, Women In Comedy Festival and performed at a Boston-themed fringe show at the Kilkenny Comedy Festival in Ireland. He's shared the stage with The Beach Boys, Steven Wright, Jeff Dunham, Nick Dipaolo, Lenny Clarke, Bill Burr, Jonathan Katz, and others, and performed at venues such as the Cape Cod Melody Tent, the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, N.H., and the Cabaret Theater at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. He is the host and producer for the standup stage show How Men Think (Or Do They?), and creator of the web series Post Office Golf League.
Kendra is often heard on Sirius XM and is a regular on the New York and Boston comedy scene. She has previously been in the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, The Glasgow Comedy Festival, and the Nantucket Comedy Festival. Kendra was in the finals for two straight years in the Boston Comedy Festival, as well as appearing on NBC's Last Comic Standing 2015 and 2016. She wrote and starred in the Award Winning short "LonelyGirl48"and her web series "Why Is Everybody Always Hitting On Me" has appeared in the Boston Comedy Festival, Palm Beach International Film Festival and the St. Louis Film Festival. Her debut album Blonde Logic, was released by Rooftop Comedy in September 2016.
