Indulge in a delicious 3-course dinner at Effie's Place Family Restaurant (includes a glass of beer/wine) and then head up to Playhouse on Park to see Intimate Apparel by Lynn Nottage. The cost for dinner and a show is only $50 per person (tax and gratuity not included)!

Dinner at Effie's Place Family Restaurant includes your choice of: appetizer: stuffed mushroom caps, spanakopita, tossed salad or soup of the day; main course: braised lamb shank served over rice, ravioli with shrimp in a tomato-mushroom cream sauce, or chicken piccata with rice and vegetables. Dinner is served with a beverage, including beer or wine, and your choice of dessert!

Intimate Apparel is a historical drama written by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage. In 1905, Esther, an African American seamstress, supports herself by creating exquisite lingerie for wealthy Manhattan clients. When a letter arrives from a stranger, it awakens a desire within her that leads to the love that she yearned for, but it is nothing like she expected. As described by playwright Paula Vogel, "Lynn Nottage's work explores depths of humanness, the overlapping complexties of race, gender, culture and history-and the startling simplicity of desire-with a clear tenderness, with humor, with compassion."
