Beginning in 1981 as a group of Senate Staffers, The Capitol Steps have been a Washington, DC institution for over 30 years with appearances on "The Today Show," "Nightline," "CBS Evening News" and numerous specials for National Public Radio. Each of the troupe's performances feature a unique blend of musical and political comedy, as well as tasteful lampooning, that is guaranteed to leave both sides of the political spectrum laughing out loud.
Known as the group that puts the "mock" in "democracy," the comedy troupe's show is constantly changing, strenuously bi-partisan, and includes songs about everything in the news, including "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Crimea," "Ain't No Pipeline, Now It's Gone," and "The iMpossible iWatch." For anyone who has ever wanted to see Barack Obama sing a show tune, Nancy Pelosi sing a rock song, and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie do a classical ballet, this show is just for them!
