'The move will allow the musical theater organization, which serves as Resident Conservatory of Westport Country Playhouse, to produce more programming and productions.'
Broadway Method Academy (BMA), the award winning non-profit arts organization dedicated to providing quality musical theater training under the direction of Broadway professionals, has announced it has found a new home in Fairfield, Connecticut. The move from its current boutique studio in downtown Fairfield will allow for expanded classroom opportunities and a fully produced studio theater season, in addition to the mainstage season presented on their partner's campus at Westport Country Playhouse.
BMA will assume the 5,000 square foot space, which is located on Black Rock Turnpike, early this fall. The building, which formerly was occupied by Eastern Mountain Sports, will house a 130-seat black box theater, in addition to several classrooms.
"This is a very exciting moment for BMA," commented Co- Executive Director Connor Deane. "We have enjoyed a wildly successful run in our downtown Fairfield studio, and we are now ready to offer more programs and productions to our many talented students. Having our own performance venue was an opportunity we could not pass up. We're eager to expand our lineup of award winning productions both in our new space and at the beautiful Westport Country Playhouse."
"Kleban Properties is excited to help bring BMA to Black Rock Turnpike," said Ken Kleban, President of Kleban Properties.
An open house celebration and 2018-2019 season will be announced at a later date.
