Brian Regan Comes to the Warner Image

The Warner Theatre is excited to welcome BRIAN REGAN to the Main Stage on October 19 at 8 pm. Tickets go on sale to Warner Members on Tuesday, March 13 at 10 am and to the General Public on Friday, March 16 at 10 am. Critics, fans and fellow comedians agree: Brian Regan is one of the most respected comedians in the country with Vanity Fair calling Brian, "The funniest stand-up alive," and Entertainment Weekly calling him, "Your favorite comedian's favorite comedian."

Having built his 30-plus year career on the strength of his material alone, Brian's non-stop theater tour continuously fills the most beautiful venues across North America, visiting close to 100 cities each year. Brian premiered his seventh hour of comedy, the Netflix special, Brian Regan: Nunchucks And Flamethrowers, in November 2017. This is the first special in a two-special deal with Netflix, joining Brian with Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld and others in multi-special deals with the leader in worldwide streaming. Brian's second Netflix special is planned for release in 2019. Taking a leap into the acting world, director Peter Farrelly personally cast Brian in his new TV series, Loudermilk, on The Audience Network.

Loudermilk premiered to rave reviews in October 2017, with Brian earning accolades in the role of "Mugsy," a recovering addict who is estranged from his family. Brian will shoot the second season of Loudermilk this summer. Brian appeared at Carnegie Hall in November 2017 following years of performances in New York City's finest theaters including Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall, The Beacon Theater and Radio City Music Hall. Brian made history with his stand-up special, Brian Regan: Live From Radio City Music Hall, as the first live broadcast of a stand-up special in Comedy Central's history in 2015. A regular on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Brian is the rare guest who the show invites on for two segments: a performance segment and a segment on the couch to chat with Jimmy. Previously, Brian was a regular guest on The Late Show with David Letterman, making 28 appearances on the CBS show. Brian made a scene-stealing cameo in Chris Rock's film, Top Five, and he is a guest on Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, which is now streaming on Netflix. Built by Warner Brothers Studios and opened in 1931 as a movie palace (1,772 seats), the Warner Theatre was described then as "Connecticut's Most Beautiful Theatre." Damaged extensively in a flood, the Warner was slated for demolition in the early 1980s until the non-profit Northwest Connecticut Association for the Arts (NCAA) was founded and purchased the theatre. The Warner reopened as a performing arts center in 1983, and restoration of the main lobbies and auditorium was completed in November 2002. In 2008, the new 50,000 square foot Carole and Ray Neag Performing Arts Center, which houses a 300 seat Studio Theatre, 200 seat restaurant and expansive school for the arts, was completed. Today, the Warner is in operation year-round with more than 160 performances and 100,000 patrons passing through its doors each season. Over 10,000 students, pre K-adult, participate in arts education programs and classes. Together, with the support of the community, the Warner has raised close to $17 million to revitalize its facilities. NCAA's mission is to preserve the Warner Theatre as an historic landmark, enhance its reputation as a center of artistic excellence and a focal point of community involvement, and satisfy the diverse cultural needs of the region.
