Review: Britney Spears Comes to Mohegan Sun Image

On Sunday night, the mega pop star Britney Spears hit the stage at the Mohegan Sun Arena during her International Piece Of Me tour.

The American singer and dancer kept the crowd dancing on their feet for the nearly two-hour show, knocking out well-known tracks from over the years, including Womanizer, Toxic, Oops...I Did It Again, Gimme More, Work Bitch, and ...Baby One More Time.

During her sexy performance of Freakshow, an audience member was brought to the stage to partake in some risqué shenanigans as Britney led him around on a leash, joking with the crowd that he "wasn't even nervous at all."

The stage changed several times throughout the show, with impressive backdrops and lighting, as did Britney's wardrobe, equally glitzy and entrancing. The live band and the professional dancers never missed a beat, making for a well-choreographed show that is everything you can expect from a pop icon.

Britney Spears is currently on her Piece Of Me tour, traveling around North America, Europe, and the United Kingdom for a limited time this summer.

And if you're heading to a show on Sunday evening, be sure to head to the casino earlier to enjoy the Sunday brunch at Todd English's Tuscany. You know this restaurant for its cave-like exterior with the cascading waterfall and always-hopping bar. The brunch is from 10am-2pm and is buffet style with an impressive raw bar selection of oysters, clams, shrimp, and smoked salmon. There's also an omelet station, carving table, a plethora of hot entrees ranging from eggs Benedict to beef tenderloin, and a vast selection of dessert, including chocolate covered strawberries and carrot cake. The brunch also features bottomless champagne, mimosas, or Bellinis, making for a great way to kick off Sunday funday.
