Rumor has it that DJ Murray The K from WINS-AM in New York was the first DJ to ever play a Beatles song on U.S. radio on September 28, 1963. And 2013 marks the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' very first U.K. chart topper. In celebration of this iconic band and 50 years to the day of that rumored first U.S. air play, Beatlemania Now, A Live On-Stage Tribute to The Beatles, recaptures the excitement, the mood, and the frantic intensity of one of the most turbulent decades of modern times - the 1960's. Beatlemania Now performs live on the HARMAN Stage on Saturday, September 28th at 8 p.m. at Stamford's Palace Theatre. Tickets may be purchased online at www.SCAlive.org.
Flashback to historic moments of space exploration, protests in the streets, the raging war in Vietnam, "Flower Power" and "Peace & Love," in the lives and deaths of Martin Luther King, Jr., John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy, and the politics of Richard M. Nixon, as Beatlemania Now meticulously performs incredible note-for-note renditions of Beatles' classics, including songs the band never performed outside the recording studios.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at The Palace website, www.SCAlive.org or charged by phone with major credit cards by calling the Palace Theatre Box Office at 203-325-4466.
