Ariana DeBose & David Harris to Join Terrence Mann in CRT's LES MISERABLES; Full Cast Announced!

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) has announced the complete cast for its production of LES MISERABLES beginning later this month. Directed by Terrence Mann, LES MISERABLES will star Mann as Inspector Javert, a role he originated on Broadway and for which he received his first Tony Award-nomination. Performances of LES MISERABLES begin on May 28, 2015 and continue through June 7, 2015 at Connecticut Repertory Theatre's Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre. Appearing opposite Mann, will be David Harris as Jean Valjean. One of Australia's most acclaimed leading men, Harris began his career in the original Australian productions of The Boy From Oz and Mamma Mia. He was awarded a Green Room Award for Best Actor in a Musical as well as Helpmann and Sydney Theatre Award nominations for his portrayal of Emmett Forrest in the recent Australian production of Legally Blonde. Both Mann and Harris have played the Beast in Disney's Beauty and the Beast and toured internationally with Cameron Macintosh's Do You Hear The People Sing concert, celebrating the music of Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil, who wrote the musical LES MISERABLES.

Appearing as Eponine, will be Ariana DeBose, who just completed the run of Hamilton at the Public. DeBose appeared in the Tony Award winning revival of Pippin as a Leading Player, and in the 2013 Broadway season she originalted the role of Mary Wilson of the Supremes in Motown the Musical and Nautica in Andy Blankenbuhler's Bring It On The Musical.

Philip Hoffman (Thenardier) and Liz Larsen (Madame Thenardier) will also be part of the cast. Hoffman has been a member of the original Broadway casts of The Moony Shapiro Songbook, Is There Life After High School?, Baby, Into the Woods (1987), Falsettos, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and most recently in the recent revival of Cabaret as Herr Schultz. Larsen, will take leave from her current Broadway stint as Genie Klein in Beautiful The Carole King Musical. She was nominated for a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for The Most Happy Fella. She has also appeared on Broadway in Hairspray, The Rocky Horror Show, Damn Yankees, and Fiddler on the Roof.

The rest of the cast includes Alex Zeto (Fantine), Will Bryant (Enjolras), Joe Callahan (Marius), Chandler Lovelle (Cosette). The ensemble includes Amandina Altomare, Maggie Bera, Gabriel Bernal, Gerald Caesar, Jonathan Cobrda, Kent Coleman, Troyer Coultas, Allison Dixon, Conor Donally, Julia Rose Estrada, Michelle Bether Herman, Luke Hamilton, Chester Martin, Katherine McEllan, Kate McMillan*, Kelly Murphy, Sean Ormond, Cullen Reis and Alessandro Viviano.

The creative team includes: Terrence Mann (Director), Tim Brown (Scenic/Projection Design), Lisa Loen (Costume Design), Chuan-Chi Chan (Lighting Design), Michael Skinner (Sound Design), James Mountcastle* (Production Stage Manager), Daniel Moctezuma (Musical Director) and McCorkle Casting (New York Casting).

Evening performances start at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Matinee performances start at 2 p.m. on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Subscription package options range from $30 to $93. Single ticket prices range from $10 to $55.
