On Saturday, March 24 at 8pm, Academy Award-winning actress, dancer and author Shirley MacLaine will share a montage of memorable film moments and private revelations about her extraordinary life, career and spiritual journey.

Ms. MacLaine’s five decade career includes 50 feature films, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, six Emmy Awards, the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award and the title of international best-selling author. A longtime outspoken advocate for civil rights and liberties, women’s rights and spiritual understanding, MacLaine remains committed to boldly speaking her truth, unedited and uncensored.

She will appear in PBS’s Downton Abbey Season Three as Lady Grantham’s mother, Martha Levinson, which she is currently filming. On Thursday, June 7, 2012, the American Film Institute will present Ms. MacLaine with the 40th AFI Life Achievement Award, the highest honor for a career in film. The event will celebrate MacLaine's extraordinary life and all her endeavors – movies, television, Broadway, author and beyond.
