Music Theatre of Connecticut MainStage, Fairfield County's award-winning professional theatre company, will present an evening with Tony® nominee Adam Pascal, star of Broadway's "Rent, "Aida," "Memphis," "Cabaret" and "Chicago" and numerous feature films including "Rent." The one night only event will take place on Saturday, September 26 at The Melissa & Doug Theatre at MTC, 509 Westport Avenue (behind the Jones New York and Nine West Outlet) in Norwalk, CT. Tickets are $125 for The VIP Experience, which includes cocktails, plentiful hors d'oeuvres at 6:30pm reserved seating for the 8pm performance and a post-show dessert reception meet-and-greet with Mr. Pascal. $75 for show only tickets. Adam Pascal is one of Broadway's favorite leading men, having been born and raised in New York City. He is widely known for originating the role of Roger Davis in the original Broadway cast of "Rent," for which he received a Tony Nomination for Best Actor (Musical), and won the Drama League and Obie Award for the role. He went on to star on Broadway as Radames in Elton John & Tim Rice's "Aida" (Drama League Award), Emcee in "Cabaret", Huey Calhoun in "Memphis", and most recently as Billy Flynn in "Chicago." Adam reprised his role of Roger Davis in in the 2005 film version of "Rent," and concluded his journey with the character on the 2009 national tour of the show alongside original Broadway cast member Anthony Rapp. Adam is also a successful recording artist, having released three solo albums.
Mr. Pascal is accompanied by Larry Edoff on piano. Edoff is an accomplished producer, bandleader, singer/songwriter, composer and pianist. He has performed with and written music for artists including Adam Pascal, Tony Bennett, The Count Basie Orchestra, Vinny Valentino, Matt Garrison, John Benitez, Jarrod Cagwin, Adam Rogers, Joel Rosenblatt, Jeff Andrews, Bill Moring, Steve Wilson, Richard Bona, El Negro and many others.
