A Contemporary Theater Of Connecticut Announces Second Extension For EVITA  ImageACT (A Contemporary Theater) of Connecticut announces a second extension for the theater's mainstage production of "Evita"! EVITA tells the passionate and unforgettable story of Eva Perón and her ascent to the top as the First Lady of Argentina. ACT of Connecticut offers the unique experience of a large-scale professional Equity musical production in an intimate, state-of-the art environment which allows the audience to be immersed into the story of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's masterpiece. The Tony-Award winning score features some of Webber and Rice's biggest hits, including "Don't Cry for Me Argentina," "High Flying, Adored" and "Another Suitcase in Another Hall."

ACT of CT's EVITA is directed by Daniel C. Levine and choreographed by Charlie Sutton, and stars Julia Estrada (West Side Story) as Eva Perón, Angel Lozada (Jesus Christ Superstar) as Che, Ryan Bailer (Les Miserables) as Perón, Julian Alvarez (West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Rent) as Magaldi, and Marlena Lopez-Hilderley as The Mistress. Ensemble members are Paul Aguirre, Alex Caldwell, Morgan Harrison, Jordan Fife Hunt, Alison Mahoney, Daniel Marhelko, Monica Ramirez, Erick Sanchez-Canahaute, Mia Scarpa, Daniel Schwait, and Kyle White.

ACT (A Contemporary Theatre) of Connecticut is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), premier Equity theater located on the renowned Schlumberger property in Ridgefield, CT. Founded and led by three accomplished theater professionals, the contemporary theater presents limited engagement runs of well-known Broadway plays and musicals, as well as world-premiere plays and musicals by the next generation of writers and composers. The theater company produces three shows per season, including one show in the "Presenting Stephen Schwartz" series, honoring ACT of CT's Artistic Advisor, Stephen Schwartz. Each show features both Broadway stars and local Fairfield and Westchester County talent. In addition to fully produced main stage productions, ACT of CT hosts Broadway Unplugged, youth education classes, master classes, camps, workshops, and a conservatory program for high school students.
