The Opera House Players' Spring musical will be family favorite "The Sound of Music." The Players will donate $1.00 from each ticket sold for the opening night (May 1st) performance to the East Windsor Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund. "We are pleased to support this scholarship fund and give something back to the community that has supported us for the past 40 years," commented Phil Vetro, president of the local theater group.

"The Sound of Music" will run from May 1 through May 17, with performances at 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 pm on Sundays, at the Broad Brook Opera House, 107 Main Street, Broad Brook. "The Sound of Music" is directed by Patrique Hurd with music directed by Michael Gowdy. This classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical features well-known songs such as "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," "Do Re Mi," "My Favorite Things" and many more recognizable tunes.
