All art begins with inspiration. See it expressed in three unique works, presented in collaboration with Cincinnati Ballet. Anchoring the classical side of the program is George Balanchine’s Who Cares? – choreographed to, and inspired by, the music of George Gershwin. Wild Sweet Love by Trey McIntyre draws from fun, eclectic music including the Partridge Family’s “I Think I Love You” and Queen’s “Somebody to Love.” Spurred by Jane Austen and set to music by Thomas Newman and Philip Glass, Edwaard Liang’s modern and exacting Age of Innocence rounds out the program with demanding choreography and beautiful simplicity.
