American Masters at Ohio Theatre

Expect high-spirited and spectacular dancing as BalletMet celebrates the American Masters of music and dance. Three World Premiere ballets set to music by American composers Aaron Copland, Caroline Shaw and Michael Torke, plus the classic ballet Fancy Free set to music by Leonard Bernstein, complete the evening.

Experience works from acclaimed choreographers Edwaard Liang, Jerome Robbins, James Kudelka, former BalletMet Artistic Director David Nixon and the legendary Jerome Robbins. Nixon will choreograph a work for long-time BalletMet dancer Jimmy Orrante to celebrate and honor him as he retires from the stage.
