The musical begins as the bells of Notre Dame sound through the famed cathedral in fifteenth-century Paris. Quasimodo, the deformed bell-ringer who longs to be 'Out There,' observes all of Paris reveling in the Feast of Fools. Held captive by his devious caretaker, the archdeacon Dom Claude Frollo, he escapes for the day and joins the boisterous crowd, only to be treated cruelly by all but the beautiful Romani woman, Esmeralda.

 This March, The Contemporary Theatre of Ohio will produce James Ijames' Pulitzer Prize-winning and five-time Tony nominated Fat Ham, a witty take on Shakespeare's Hamlet where the only real death is the patriarchy.

To understand Shadowbox Live’s latest offering, HOT STUFF, you need to go back to Thanksgiving or, more precisely, the day after Thanksgiving. On Nov. 24 this year, families offered up the traditional fare of turkey or ham, mashed potatoes, and Aunt Clara’s green bean casserole. The day after Thanksgiving, though, you get to pick through the best parts of the meal, feast on your favorites, and leave the green bean casserole in the fridge.

The combined forces of four of Columbus’ leading arts organizations will bring a new production of WEST SIDE STORY to the Ohio Theatre Feb. 13-16, 2025.

Avenue Q is a Multiple-Tony Award-winning musical about a group of friends trying to live out their dreams, despite such mundane obstacles as trying to hold a job.  The show’s format is a parody of Sesame Street and utilizes puppets to handle adult themes such as racism, homosexuality, sex, drinking, and internet pornography.

ProMusica Chamber Orchestra will welcome Tony Award-winning actress, singer, and dancer Sutton Foster for their 2025 Soirée Benefit & Concert on Friday, April 11, 2025, with the orchestra led by guest conductor Andrew Grams.

CAPA will present “The Unauthorized Biography Series,” featuring hip-hop artist Shaun Boothe, at 7 pm Friday, March 14, at the Davidson Theatre (77 S. High St.).

Due to popular demand, CAPA has added a third performance of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 In Concert. Performances are now scheduled for 8 pm Friday, April 11, and 2 pm and 8 pm Saturday, April 12.

The Contemporary Theatre of Ohio has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts for a Challenge America award of $10,000. Learn more about the organization and the grant.

Odom’s voice is a mixture of Nat King Cole and Sam Cooke, and he used it to serenade fans with a collection of holiday favorites. He shifted from the classic (such as “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”), the current (Wham!’s “Last Christmas,”) and the personal (“Snow” and “Heaven & Earth” from his two Christmas albums).

This weekend the cast and crew of Victoria Players Children’s Theater will present A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, A Play in Two Acts, Adapted for the Stage by James Hutchinson.

Due to high demand, CAPA has added a second show for its Friday, April 4, presentation of Wild Kratts LIVE 2.0 – Activate Creature Power! at the Palace Theatre. With the 6:30 pm show nearly sold out, a 3:30 pm show has been added.
