Between shopping for presents, traffic, and visits from out of town family, the Holidays are enough to stress anyone out. Luckily, Shadowbox Live has the perfect afternoon get away that will keep you in that Holiday spirit - The Holiday Lunchbox!
As the companion to Holiday Hoopla, The Holiday Lunchbox is a 45-minute stocking stuffer filled with hilarious sketches and rockin' tunes from Shadowbox Live's twenty-five year Hoopla history! Closing out with the hysterical musical act The Snow Bunnies, The Holiday Lunchbox is guaranteed to chase those Holiday blues away!
"There are two great things about our Holiday Lunchbox," says Julie Klein, Producer for the Lunchbox shows for Shadowbox Live. "One, it's a bite sized show. You can stop in for an hour, grab lunch, laugh and relax, then go about your day no problem."
"And two," she says, "the songs and sketches are always picked from our best and most popular of the past. So you know you're getting a killer show for a very low price!"
This year, the sketches include Winter-vention, where Santa's friends and family try to get him help with his cookie problem, Winter Talent Show, a kid's talent show that every parent can relate to, and the classic The Gift Wrapper which features metaperformer Amy Lay as a loveable "tell-it-like-it-is" grandmother doling out gift advice at the mall.
And, of course, the afternoon closes out with the musical send-up The Snow Bunnies, an irresistible trio featuring BranDon Anderson, Edelyn Parker, and Nikki Fagin singing their way through some hysterically bad lounge-style Holiday tunes.
"It's short, it's sweet, and it's so much fun," says Klein. "Come take an afternoon break with us!"
The Holiday Lunchbox opens Thursday, December 1st and runs Tuesdays - Fridays at 1:00 PM through December 23rd. Additional performance on Monday December 19th at 1:00 PM. Tickets are $10.
