Composer Benoît Charest and Le Terrible Orchestre de Belleville will perform live to a screening of the Animated 2004 Academy Award nominee The Triplets of Belleville on September 14.
This much beloved animated film is screened as composer Benoît Charest leads Le Terrible Orchestre de Belleville in a live performance of his original score for the film, including his Academy Award-nominated best song.
Le Terrible Orchestre de Belleville transports audiences to 1920's Paris where a Tour de France cyclist named Champion is kidnapped by mysterious, square-shouldered henchmen and spirited across the ocean to the teeming metropolis of Belleville. The chase is on when his near-sighted grandmother and faithful dog follow his trail, and are taken in by a trio of eccentric jazz-era divas.
