Standing Room Only Theatre Company Opens Season with Showbiz Comedy PLAY ON!

Standing Room Only (SRO) Theatre Company opens its 32nd season with Rick Abbot's hilarious showbiz comedy, PLAY ON! This is the comical story of a theater group trying desperately to put on a play in spite of maddening interference from a haughty author who keeps revising the script.
Through three acts there is an initial rehearsal of the dreadful show followed by a near-disastrous dress rehearsal. The madcap climax includes an "anything that can go wrong does" scene. SRO Associate Artistic Director Patrick McGregor II is directing the production.
Show times and dates are 8 p.m. Friday, June 24; 8 p.m. Saturday, June 25; 2 p.m. Sunday, June 26; 8 p.m. Thursday, June 30; 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 1; 2 & 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 2.

For the first time, SRO will be staging the production at the MadLab Theatre and Gallery, 227 N. 3rd St., Columbus. Seating is limited to 90 people for each performance.
The mission of the Standing Room Only Theatre Company is to produce invigorating theater that breaks generational boundaries.
