PLAY! Begins At The University Of Akron August 13, FRANKENSTEIN To Open Festival

PLAY!, the Akron International Festival of AlterNative Theatre, begins on Thursday, August 13, at 8PM with a special performance of New World Performance Lab's internationally acclaimed performance of "Frankenstein" in Sandefur Theatre, Guzzetta Hall, on The University of Akron campus. Tickets are $15 general admission or $10 for under 18 or UA students. A $20 ticket allows you to attend the post-performance reception at Bricco in downtown Akron. Reservations can be made on-line at www.BrownPaperTickets.com or by calling 1-800-838-3006. Performances of "Frankenstein" continue on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8PM.

Also, don't miss NWPL's children's play: Looking for Alice, a version of Alice in Wonderland, on Saturday, August 15, at 10AM and Sunday, August 16, at 2PM in Daum Theatre, Kolbe Hall, on The University of Akron campus.

PLAY! continues through August 30 with Stairway to Paradise, a cabaret performance; Cleveland's Theatre Ninjas in a family-oriented show, The Beetlebug and the Bad Worm; and other exciting events.
