The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) will hold a public memorial service for President and CEO William B. Conner Jr. at 2 pm on Sunday, November 13, at the Southern Theatre (21 E. Main St.).

Conner, a pillar of the Columbus arts community and pioneer of CAPA's innovative shared services business model, passed away on October 28 at the age of 64 after a two-year battle with cancer. The Celebration of Life service will feature special performances and remarks from esteemed colleagues.

"Bill was a trailblazer who changed the face of the arts in Columbus with his vision, dedication, and boundless energy," stated Richard Helmreich, chair of the CAPA Board of Trustees. "We invite everyone to help celebrate his life lived without limits, and the amazing legacy he created for the arts community and citizens of central Ohio."

Owner/operator of downtown Columbus' magnificent historic theatres (Ohio Theatre, Palace Theatre, Southern Theatre) and manager of the Riffe Center Theatre Complex, Lincoln Theatre, and the Shubert Theatre (New Haven, CT), CAPA is a non-profit, award-winning presenter of national and international performing arts and entertainment providing back office services to the local arts community.
