The Shadowbox Galleries have become a beloved addition to the experience atShadowbox Live. The beautiful and eclectic artwork that lines the hallways leading to the theater often reflects or hints at the themes of the performance that evening. And under Curator Amy Ivanoff's direction, new artists are being added on a regular basis.

On display inside the Shadowbox Live theater starting January 3rd:

Award-winning local photographer, Jim Schwartz is showcasing a series of work centered on body painting--a current trend in the art world. Many of the pieces displayed have already received merits in competition. With more than 40 years of experience, Schwartz holds a Master of Photography Award from PPA (Professional Photographers of America) and also the Certified Professional Photographer of Ohio honor.

Making his way into photography late in life while working as a night janitor, Will Shively has cultivated a reputation for excellence in commercial and art photography. In Columbus, he has worked commercially with several large organizations including Ballet Met and Victoria's Secret. In this display, Shively uses several unconventional techniques to render impressionistic "paintings" out of his photographs.

Mireya Shoo is an artist, Spanish Interpreter, Yoga Instructor, and Director of a Fine Arts Studio. Her work is based on personal experiences and is mostly abstract with a mix of expressionism. Shoo incorporates items such as fabric, jewelry, salt, and coffee to her paintings to create texture, color, contrast, and balance.
