Ninety-nine years ago this month, the RMS Titanic sank on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York, taking over 1,500 souls with her. Orpheus will mark the 100th anniversary of this legendary event with our production of Titanic: The Musical in spring 2012. This award-winning musical (unrelated to the James Cameron movie) by Maury Yeston and Peter Stone is based on real passengers and events. Titanic premiered on Broadway on April 23, 1997, at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, where it ran for 26 previews and 804 performances, winning five Tony Awards.
