It's always the same, isn't it? The Holiday season comes around and things just get crazy. Your evenings become overrun with seasonal parties, last minute shopping and spending time with the relatives who pop in for the weekend despite your best efforts to pretend you're not home. You want to come to Shadowbox and laugh away some of that Yule-tide stress but the nights are so packed that it just doesn't look like you're going to get the chance.
Well not to worry because Shadowbox has a back-up plan for you. That's right, December 2nd Shadowbox will open The Holiday Lunchbox, which will run Wednesdays - Fridays at noon in December at the sketch comedy and rock ‘n' roll club in the Easton Town Center. The Holiday Lunchbox is a 45-minute matinee that is full of seasonal songs and sketches that are totally different from those presented in the night show, Holiday Hoopla. Rounding out the show is the immensely popular closing feature, The Snow Bunnies. These white and silver sequin-clad cuties know just how to rock your world and tickle your...um...funny bone.Shadowbox is sponsored by Coca Cola, Costume Specialists, Courtyard Marriott Columbus Airport location, Crawford Communities, Cup O Joe, Genesis Audio, Jack Fleming Photography, Outlook, The Team/Revolution, WCBE.
Shadowbox is a non-profit 501C3 performance troupe that self-produces a wide range of shows, as well as runs the company on a day-to-day basis. The top managers of the company make up the Board of Trustees and operate as the primary creators, producers, and performers for the shows.
As the companion to Holiday Hoopla, The Holiday Lunchbox is a 45-minute stocking stuffer or laughs and music beginning at noon. Filled with Holiday sketches and songs from Shadowbox's 18-year "Hooopla history," The Holiday Lunchbox is also home to The Snow Bunnies a trio set to unwrap some hilarious antics and some very special versions of your favorite Christmas standards.
