Beck Center for the Arts opens its landmark 80th season with She Loves Me on the Mackey Main Stage, September 20 through October 20, 2013. Winner of the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revival and the Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival, She Loves Me is considered by many to be one of the most charming musicals ever written. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. There will be no performance on October 19. Tickets are now on sale.

With music by the Tony Award-winning team behind Fiddler on the Roof, Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock have composed unforgettable songs that manage to harken back to the golden age of musical theater. She Loves Me tells the touching story of Georg and Amalia, two feuding clerks in a 1930s European parfumerie who secretly find romance in their anonymous pen pals, unaware they are corresponding with each other. A warm romantic comedy with endearing innocence and a touch of old-world elegance, She Loves Me is as relevant as ever in this age of internet romances. The New York Times called She Loves Me a "continuously melodic evening of sheer enchantment and complete escape."

"If there is a musical that anyone should be in love with, this is the musical," commented Director Scott Spence, "I have had a long-time love affair with this show and am thrilled to finally have a chance to share it with Northeast Ohio audiences." With musical direction by Larry Goodpaster and choreography by Martín Céspedes, the talented cast includes Equity actors Rebecca Pitcher as Amalia, Jamie Koeth as Georg, and Matthew Wright as Maraczek. Beck Center is very pleased to have Ms. Pitcher star in this production after appearing on Broadway as Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera.

Tickets for She Loves Me are $29 for adults, $26 for seniors (65 and older), $12 for students (with valid I.D.), and $10 for children (12 and under). An additional $3 service fee per ticket is applied at the time of purchase. Preview Night on Thursday, September 19 is $10 with general admission seating. Group discounts (13 or more) are available. Purchase tickets online at beckcenter.org or call Customer Service at 216.521.2540, ext. 10. Beck Center for the Arts is located at 17801 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood, just ten minutes west of downtown Cleveland. Free onsite parking is available.

Presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI) this production of She Loves Me is generously funded by Cuyahoga County residents through Cuyahoga Arts and Culture and the Ohio Arts Council.
