Personals Uncut: The New York Edition is back by popular demand!  The show, which made its Cleveland debut this past summer, is an edgy contemporary comedy poised to escort theatergoers on a laugh-filled trip through the uncensored world of cyber-dating.   Written and directed by native Clevelander Jennifer Griffin, Personals Uncut: The New York Edition makes its return to Kennedy's Cabaret in PlayhouseSquare December 3, 4, 10 & 11th with 8 pm performances nightly.

Personals Uncut features a cast of 18 who are looking for love (well, mostly). They comically portray assorted characters via a series of monologues in two acts, exploring how singles "sell themselves" in the world of online dating.  (A full Personals Uncut cast list can be found at www.personalsuncut.com.) Personals Uncut not only offers laughs, but tips on cyber-dating with a see-what-you-may-be-missing bent.  Read more about the show in the December issue of Cleveland Magazine.

About The Author:Jennifer Griffin grew up in Mentor and is a Mentor High School alumna.  She ventured to the Big Apple from Cleveland to study at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy.  Following graduation, she worked odd jobs around NYC "to support her acting habit."  The characters she encountered through those odd jobs became the inspiration to jump-start her creativity and help rediscover her love of writing. Not unlike Carrie Bradshaw of Sex & the City, Jennifer began writing Personals Uncut in 2006 from her NYC apartment.  She is thrilled to be directing and producing her first play in her hometown, adding, "I've also been blessed to have found such a talented cast to make Personals Uncut come alive!"

Tickets for Personals Uncut: The New York Edition are $15, on sale at The PlayhouseSquare Ticket Office, 216-241-6000 or playhousesquare.org.
