The North Canton Playhouse will be putting on three performances of Jonathan Larson's "Rent".

Performances are: July 24 (8:00 pm), July 25 (8:00 pm) and July 26 (2:30 pm). The shows will be held at the Canton Palace Theater (605 Market Ave. N., Canton, OH).

Rent is a rock musical that tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of AIDS. Rent opened on Broadway in April of 1996, and sadly ended its run on September 7th, 2008. The show features showstopping numbers, including RENT, LA VIE BOHEME, and SEASONS OF LOVE. Filled with unforgettable characters, this show has astounded audiences across America. There is "NO DAY BUT TODAY" to see the phenomenon that defined a generation.

Tickets will be $20,and you can get tickets by calling the North Canton Playhouse (330-494-1613) or ordering online from the Palace, at www.cantonpalacetheatre.org (from the Palace there is a $5 service charge per ticket).

The production is directed by Marci Saling and Brenton Cochran.

Come support the Playhouse and see the first (and hopefully not last) Northeastern Ohio production of "Rent".

In special arrangement with Musical Theatre International (MTI).
