More than 300 guests are expected on May 11th for Great Lakes Theater's (GLT) 2013 Gala, GUYS & DOLLS Behind the Scenes!, at the company's new Scene and Prop Shop. All proceeds benefit Great Lakes Theater's nationally acclaimed mainstage and educational programming that impacts more than 100,000 adults and students each season.

An evening of "speakeasy" fun, inspired by the musical Guys and Dolls, Great Lakes Theater's 2013 Gala will commence with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at 6:00 p.m. as revelers sample specialty drinks inspired by the era of bath tub gin and "party among the props" with scenery and props from current and past seasons' productions. The evening continues through 11:00 p.m. and includes a live performance by chanteuse extraordinaire Lounge Kitty with her 6-piece band, live and silent auctions featuring one-of-a-kind items and getaway experiences and a delicious Guys and Dolls-themed dinner created by Marigold Catering. Guests are encouraged to don 1920s attire for the event.

GLT's GUYS & DOLLS Behind the Scenes! Gala silent auction features dozens of amazing items, highlighted by weekend theater trips to San Francisco, Chicago, Washington DC and Denver, a special experience with the Cleveland Indians, and memorable meals in private homes and unique spaces throughout Greater Cleveland - among many others.

Individual tickets for Great Lakes Theater's GUYS & DOLLS Behind the Scenes! Gala start at $250. Sponsorships and corporate tables (seating for 10) begin at $3,000. For ticket reservations, additional information and sponsorship benefits, visit www.greatlakestheater.org/event/gala or contact GLT's Development Office by phone at (216) 453-1068 or via email at htomash@greatlakestheater.org.
