Floyd Collins

Book by Tina Landau

Music and Lyrics by Adam Guettel

Additional Lyrics by Tina Landau

March 10 - 25

Directed by Patrick Ciamacco

Music Direction by Matt Dolan

A hauntingly beautiful musical, based on a true story. In 1925, while chasing a dream of fame and fortune by turning a Kentucky cave into a tourist attraction, Floyd Collins himself became the attraction when he got trapped 200 feet underground. Alone but for sporadic contact with the outside world, Floyd fought for his sanity and ultimately his life as the rescue effort above exploded into the first genuine media circus. Reporters and gawkers from across the country descended on the property, fueling the hysteria and manipulating the nation into holding its collective breath. This haunting musical - one of the most acclaimed in recent years - tells the transcendent tale of a true American dreamer.

Picasso at the Lapine Agile

By Steve Martin

June 9 - 24

Directed by Jonathan Kronenberger

Picasso at the Lapin Agile is a magical look into an imagined conversation between two minds that had a powerful impact on the shape of the 20th century and those lucky enough to have been there to witness it in a neighborhood bar in Paris in 1903. It brings to life Einstein and Picasso, still in their early twenties, as they debate the meaning of art, the power of thought and the essence of everything. Einstein is still toiling in his job at the patent office but is looking for a publisher for his Theory of Relativity, and Picasso is on the verge of painting his revolutionary Les Demoiselles dAvignon.

Written by celebrated comedian and actor Steve Martin, this play is comical and deep, moving and sometimes absurdist, and a profound and rewarding journey for the audience.

Equus

By Peter Shaffer

August 11 - 26

Directed by Patrick Ciamacco

DR. Martin Dysart, a psychiatrist, is confronted with Alan Strang, a boy who has blinded six horses in a violent fit of passion. This very passion is as foreign to Dysart as the act itself. To the boy's parents it is a hideous mystery; Alan has always adored horses. To Dysart it is a psychological puzzle that leads both doctor and patient to a complex and disturbingly dramatic confrontation.

Urinetown

Music and Lyrics by Mark Hollmann

Book and Lyrics by Greg Kotis

December 1 -16

Directed by Patrick Ciamacco

Music Direction by Matthew Dolan

Choreography by Katie Zarecki

In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides that he's had enough and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom!

Winner of three Tony Awards, three Outer Critics Circle Awards, two Lucille Lortel Awards and two Obie Awards, Urinetown is an hilarious musical satire of the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, bureaucracy, corporate mismanagement, municipal politics and musical theatre itself! Hilariously funny and touchingly honest, Urinetown provides a fresh perspective on one of America's greatest art forms.
