Ensemble Theatre opens its 33rd consecutive season in Cleveland Heights with Larry Kramer's Tony Award Winning THE NORMAL HEART.

The story of a city in denial, THE NORMAL HEART unfolds like a real-life political thriller—as a tight-knit group of friends refuses to let doctors, politicians and the press bury the truth of an unspoken epidemic behind a wall of silence.

A quarter-century after it was written, this outrageous, unflinching, and totally unforgettable look at the sexual politics of New York during the AIDS cr isis remains one of the theatre’s most powerful evenings ever. This script addresses issues that are still SO relevant today (human rights, marriage equality, healthcare) but also educates future generations about a very important part of our history, and remembers the so many who were lost and those who still live with AIDS today.

Ensemble Theatre's amazing cast includes:

Derdriu Ring* as Dr. Emma Bruckner.
Brian Zoldessy* as Ned Weeks
Jeffrey Grover as Ben Weeks
David Bugher as Bruce Niles
Scott Esposito as Felix Turner
Jeremy Jenkins as Tommy Boatwright
Dan Kilbane as Mickey Marcus
Richard Worswick as David/Hiram/Doctor
Benjamin Gregg as Craig Donne/Grady
(*Member of Actors' Equity Association)
