  • Give music students the opportunity to meet others with similar interests from other schools;
  • Provide a musically enriching experience by learning from professional conductors and musicians.
  • Motivate CCS students to pursue ongoing participation in their own school ensembles and the performing arts field
  • Increase responsibility and commitment by adhering to the rules of strict attendance and proper behavior at rehearsals and at the concert.
  • Encourage CCS students to audition for CSYO programs;
  • Give the students the experience of attending a professional orchestral concert by encouraging students to use their CSYO complimentary tickets to attend a Columbus Symphony concert.
