Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) presents the return of The Loush Sisters-a martini-loving, naughty-but-nice comedic duo-in their latest original show, The Loush Sisters Love Dick'ns: Great Expectations. The show runs 4 weekends, from November 27-December 19 onstage at CPT's historic Gordon Square Theatre.
The Loush Sisters Love Dick'ns: Great Expectations is a bawdy, boozy holiday cabaret starring Beth Wood and Liz Conway as "The Loush Sisters." The show features irreverent remixes of holiday music, live accompaniment, whimsical dance breaks and Dickens-inspired comedic interludes starring The Loush Sisters ("Lush...and loose...but fancy!") plus a supporting cast of larger-than-life characters. According to Cleveland's The Plain Dealer, The Loush Sisters have "Comic timing and between-song patter so good, you'd think they trained at the sequined hem of Miss Judy Garland, the patron saint of sloshed cabaret." (The Plain Dealer)
Created and performed by Conway and Wood (with co-creator Michael Seevers, Jr.), "The Loush Sisters" made their first major onstage appearance in 2011 in a ribald one-act called The Loush Sisters: Making the Yuletide Gay and, in 2013, returned with a full-length work entitled The Loush Sisters DO the Nutcracker.
