Akron's Professional theater, is pleased to announce the opening of Christian O'Reilly's new Irish play Chapatti. The show will have a preview performance on Thursday Feb. 25th at 8 PM. The show runs until March 13th, 2016.
The Play
Originally written for the Chicago's Northlight Theatre and the Galway Arts Festival, Christian O'Reilly's Chapatti delves into the lonely lives of two animal lovers who find some solace in their pets, until they find each other.

The Akron production stars Equity actor Neil Thackaberry, and Anne McEvoy; and is directed by Brian Zoldessy.
Special Events
Actors' Summit Theater will host a small series of talk backs and "therapy dogs" to the production of Chapatti.
Robert Noll and Dr. Pam Noll will lead a "talk back" event following the Chapatti performances on Sat. Feb 27, and again on Friday March 4th following the show. (those performances begin at 8 PM) . Robert Noll is a professor of communications at John Carroll University where he teaches playwriting, screenwriting and broadcast writing. Dr. Pamela Noll is a clinical psychologist with a specialization in behavioral health. Pamela and Robert has co-authored numerous plays, including Tremont which received it's world premiere at Actors' Summit Theater.
Sally Tissel, an artist and author will bring her certified therapy dog "Rosie" to the theater on Sunday Feb. 28, 2016 following the 2 PM performance. Sally and "Rosie" are from Therapy Dogs International, and are based in Alliance Ohio.
Additionally Dr. Milli Wilcoxson, will lead the talk backs on Sunday Mar. 13th following the show. Dr. Willcoxson's PhD and Certification is in gerontology from U of Akron. She has spent many years working in skilled nursing settings as well as outpatient environments.
Guest speakers and therapy dogs will speak following the respective performances. Additional guest lecturers will be added to te performance schedules. The shows actors and director will also be available during the talk required backs. All talk backs are free and open to the public; tickets are t for the performances of the play "Chapatti".
