A NJ based student tour operator specializing in performance tours and arts education programs is looking for an experienced sales professional with a background in music or theatre education to join the family. The Group Sales Manager will play a leading role in the acquisition of new schools/clients, in the promotion of our signature performance programs and will share in revenue growth objectives. The position is full time, and yes, you will get to travel. You will travel for conferences, FAM trips (to experience the destinations you're selling), and in-person client meetings. We're looking for a person who's passionate about arts education, ready to jump right in, comfortable and confident on the phone, goal oriented, and enjoys a fun, family-like working environment. While the Group Sales Manager will focus on driving performance tour leads, they will also be responsible for prospects outside of this lane.

Responsibilities
Source new performance tour sales opportunities from public and private middle schools and high school teachers and administrators
Nurture, and acquire new business opportunities through phone, email, attending conferences and sales visits
Focus on new group acquisition for ETA's exclusive performance based programs, festivals and tours
Generate unique tour itineraries customized for choirs, bands, orchestras, dancers and theatre students
Research pricing and activities in various destinations
Lead clients through the entire sales and tour process
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent negotiating and sales skills
Savvy with computers
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to communicate effectively over the phone with diverse personalities
Ability to listen and identify areas where travel can support a client's educational goals
Excel in an independent working environment
Comfortable giving presentations
Have a good knowledge and travel experience in destinations throughout North America and/or Western Europe (Washington D.C. and New York City preferred)
Experience
Proven track record of reaching sales goals
Experience working with a CRM (preferred)
Experience with performance events including workshops, festivals, parades, and shows (preferred)
