SRO Theatre Company presents The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas to be staged May 31 to June 9, 2013, at the Shedd Theatre in the Columbus Performing Arts Center, 549 Franklin Avenue, Columbus, OH 43215. Check out a first look at the cast below!

This Drama Desk Award winner for Outstanding Lyrics and Outstanding Music and a Tony Award nominee for Best Musical features a foot-stomping country-western score as it tells the story of the legendary Chicken Ranch, a Texas brothel frequented by politicians, football players, and others. It's business as usual until the ranch meets with opposition from a crusading watchdog who aims his TV cameras and moral indignation at the ranch. Book by Larry L. King and Peter Masterson; music and lyrics by Carol Hall; based on a story by Larry King.

Please note that this play is suggested for mature audiences because of adult themes and language.

The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas is directed by April Olt, with musical direction by Bryan Babcock and choreography by Amanda Cawthorne.

Scruggs), Jim Keller (Edsel Mackey), Edward Ward (Senator Wingwoah), Bryan Glover (Aggie), Jeb Bigelow (Aggie), Ian Klingenberg (Aggie), Doug Mondell (Aggie), Patrick Walters (Aggie), Charlisa Anderson (Wulla Jean), Susan Loar (Dogette), Terri McKean Jones (Thorpe Singer), and Lisa Radke (Thorpe Singer).

Showtimes for The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas are 8 p.m. on Friday, May 31; 8 pm. on Saturday, June 1; 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 2; 10:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday, June 7; 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 8; and 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 9.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for seniors (55+), $15 for SRO members, $10 for students, and $15 for adults and seniors for the 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 7, performance.
