KNOW THEATRE and the CINCINNATI FRINGE FESTIVAL present Back to Back Cincy Fringe Encores from Jon Kovach and Unity Productions, This Monday, November 17, Unity Productions brings back not one but two Cincinnati Fringe Festival Encore shows, performed back-to-back by masterful local performer Jon Kovach.
Kovach, most recently seen on the Know Theatre MainStage in both Moby Dick and Harry & The Thief, revives two hit productions from past Cincinnati Fringe Festivals-The Wave by Ron Jones and Nothing by Nic Balthazar.
First up, at 8:00 PM, is The Wave by Ron Jones. Based on a true story, The Wave follows the story of a young 1960's California history teacher who wanted to deter his students from the allure of totalitarianism. His daring social experiment succeeded beyond his wildest expectations, creating a fascist state on campus.
Following a brief intermission where Kovach will actually shave his beard between shows, he'll take the stage again at 9:30 PM for Nothing by Nic Balthazar. This poignant and hard-hitting multimedia performance is based on true events and follows Ben, a wordsmith with autism who learns how to overcome his high school bullies. Using poetry, music, and video, Ben shares his story of meeting "Barbie" in a divine online connection, standing up to his high school bullies, and finding ways to fit into a "normal" world.
Single tickets to each performance are just $15-or, see both shows and save, with a Unity Productions Double Bill pass for $25. Tickets available at http://knowtheatre.com/on-stage/fringe/fringe-encores/ or at the door.
Unity Productions was founded in 2011 by Jon Kovach and Zach Cieslak and is dedicated to making a positive change through the arts, education, and community service.
This one-night-only Cincy Fringe Encore event may well be your last chance to see these two shows performed in Cincinnati-ever! Don't miss audience favorite Jon Kovach in two startling and powerful roles in one night-Monday, November 17th at the Know.
If available, we would love for members of the press to join us for this Back-to-Back Fringe Encore event, beginning at 8:00 PM.
