In celebration of the joys of reading--our portal into the imaginative world of Wayside School--Know Theatre is holding a book drive to benefit the Peaslee Neighborhood Center and The Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati.

We invite you to bring your gently used or previously loved children's books with you to Sideways Stories from Wayside School. We will also accept adult reading level books for the Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati.

Peaslee Child Development Center was established to provide a quality education for children from six weeks to five years old. The teachers recognize the importance of balanced growth so they provide opportunities for mental, physical and emotional growth through a variety of creative and cultural experiences. Through a developmentally appropriate literacy based curriculum, arts and music classes, and our Peaslee Schoolyard, we strive to teach and educate your children to prepare them for Kindergarten.

Since 1998, The Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati has served as a contact center for adult literacy, providing a full-time referral hotline (621-READ) for prospective tutors and learners. The Network provides free specialized reading classes for adults and children with profound reading disabilities. Additionally, the Literacy Network trains volunteers to tutor adults and children with low reading skills.

You can stop by Know Theatre to drop off books when attending  performances or during our office hours Tuesday - Sunday 11am - 6pm.
