HOME BREW THEATER to Bring Six New Plays to The Drama Workshop

The Drama Workshop (TDW) proudly presents HOME BREW THEATER, an evening of six new plays and locally brewed beer May 20-22. The program of six short plays by six local authors will be presented next weekend and is followed by a reception with beer provided by the Christian Moerlein brewery.

The three performances are at TDW's Glenmore Playhouse, 3716 Glenmore Avenue in Cheviot, Ohio, at 8:00 PM Friday, May 20; 8:00 PM Saturday, May 21; and a matinee 2:00 PM Sunday, May 22. Seating is limited. Tickets may be purchased at the door while supplies last or ordered by phone at (513) 598-8303 or online at www.thedramaworkshop.org. Admission is $10. All proceeds benefit the Glenmore Playhouse Fix-the-Roof-Fund.

HOME BREW THEATER is produced by Clint Bramkamp and directed by Kat Reynolds.

The Six Plays are:

BREAKING GULF NEWS by Phil Paradis, with actors Victoria Covarrubias, Bill Keeton and Ian Tinney; A big oil CEO faces off with the United States Coast Guard on a national news broadcast.

LIFE COULD BE A DREAM, DOC by Clint Bramkamp, featuring Rob Bucher and Adam Drake. A writer seeks professional help - apparently.

BREAKING AND ENTERING by A. K. Forbes, with actors Betsy Bossart, Craig Branch, and Brady Reilly. A couple tries to spice up their marriage with a little role playing.

A SILLY AFTERNOON IN FRANCE by Andy Simpson with actors Kevin Dunaway, Jazz McMullen, and Sig Maley. Ttakes place in a sidewalk café with two exceptionally civilized patrons.

THE OFF CHANCE by Teri Foltz, featuring Samantha Isler and RJ Bryant. What are the chances of a horoscope really coming true?

THANK YOU by Roger Brookfield, featuring actors Valeria Amburgey and Jimmy Loren Bussey. An older couple muses on the neighbors' tryst.

The Drama Workshop has been bringing quality theater to the Cincinnati community for over 50 years. The group has been performing since its first show in 1954 - The Night of January 16th. Since 1958 the group has produced at least three shows a year. It is one of the longest running theater groups in the Cincinnati area.
