Alumni of Cincinnati Young People's Theatre, the venerable summer teen theatre program, will gather for the first-ever CYPT Reunion Benefit Concert on December 27, 2009, at the Covedale Center for the Performing Arts located at 4990 Glenway Avenue in West Price Hill.

Since 1982, CYPT has mounted over 50 productions, between its summer program, holiday productions and co-productions with other theater troupes. Through those productions, there are more than 1,000 actors, dancers, stage managers, technical staff and musicians that proudly call themselves CYPT alumni. Many have gone on to great careers on Broadway, in Broadway tours, in regional theaters across the country, on original cast recordings, on television and in film.

This benefit concert will be the first of its kind, inviting back talent from all the eras of the program to perform a selection of showstoppers and CYPT favorites. All proceeds of the evening benefit CYPT and will keep this special program going and growing.

There are three components to the evening:

• CYPT Reunion Benefit Concert - 7:30pm
The concert will feature great songs from several of the classic CYPT productions over the years, multiple hosts, intriguing nuggets from CYPT history and the first-ever CYPT Alumni Awards. Tickets for the concert are only $15.

• Official Pre-Show Happy Hour - 6-7pm
Mix and mingle with CYPT friends old and new. Happy Hour tickets are $10 add-ons and include two drink tickets and light appetizers in the theater before the show.

• After Hours Cast Party - 9:30pm
Stay after the concert and socialize! Help raise money for the program, by bidding on some great prizes, taking chances on special raffles and even contributing a song.
