Cincinnati Playhouse In The Park Announces 2019-2020 Season Image

Artistic Director Blake Robison announced Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's 2019-20 season today, which includes plays from Karen Zacarías and Anna Ziegler, a new stage adaptation of a Margaret Atwood novel, a recent Broadway comedy hit and a world premiere from the award-winning, multi-cultural performance ensemble Universes.

"This season emphasizes our programming priorities: new work, diverse stories and multi-generational audiences. From buoyant comedies like Karen Zacarias' Destiny of Desire to thought-provoking contemporary plays like Anna Ziegler's Actually to family-friendly musicals like Once on This Island, our season showcases the diversity of the theatre community itself," Robison states.

Robison continues, "I'm especially excited about our world premiere from the award-winning, multi-cultural performance ensemble Universes. Fusing theatre, poetry, dance, jazz, hip-hop and down-home blues, americUS will be unlike anything we've produced at the Playhouse."
