The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati has announced that all performances of Harriet Tubman: Straight Up Outta' The Underground, as well as classes, camps, and lessons, have been cancelled.
They have released the following statement:
TCT is committed to keeping our theater a healthy and safe place for our audiences, students, artists, volunteers, and staff.
At this time, all performances of Harriet Tubman: Straight Up Outta' The Underground this weekend on the Showtime Stage ARE CANCELED. Any tickets purchased will be refunded in full and the performance will not be rescheduled.
Additionally, all Academy Classes, Spring Break Camps, and Private Lessons will be suspended effective immediately.
Academy activities will tentatively resume on April 6th, 2020. Please monitor our website for the most up-to-date information regarding the continuation and plan of action for potential makeup times of classes based on mandates and advice from government officials, health experts, and the CDC. We kindly ask that you hold off on calling for refunds or credits until we have a better idea of how long we will be closed and our plan of action for makeup times.
Currently, the final MainStage production of Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical JR. is six weeks away and is not canceled as of yet. It is our hope the preventative measures taking place to limit gatherings will benefit public health, slow the spread of COVID-19 but also other viruses like the common cold and flu.
We wish you and your family health and well-being and appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
