Ring in the holidays Dec. 5 and 6 with the annual FEAST OF CAROLS at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). The festivities will feature yuletide favorites performed by the CCM Concert Orchestra, CCM choral ensembles, and outstanding high school and community choirs from the Tristate region.
FEAST OF CAROLS fills CCM with classic and contemporary sounds of the season as conductors Earl Rivers, Brett Scott, Robyn Lana, Brandon Dean, Jeremy Jones, David Bell, David White and Laurie Wyatt invite audiences to sing along to treasured holiday carols. The full Concert Orchestra and the over 300 voices of the CCM Chamber Choir, Chorale, University Men's & Women's Choruses, Cincinnati Children's Choir and additional guest choirs (see below) join for a spectacular finale with "The Virgin Mary had a Baby Boy" and "O Come All Ye Faithful," arranged by Mack Wilberg for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra, and an audience Sing-a-Long with "Deck the Halls," "Jingle Bells," "Frosty the Snowman," "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," and "Up on the Housetop."
The featured guest choirs on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 5 p.m. are: Hillsboro High School Symphonic Chorus, David White, director.
The Sunday, Dec. 6, 2 p.m. concert features: SCPA Chorale, Laurie Wyant, director.This impressive festival of choirs will conclude Sunday, Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. with: The Winton Woods High School Chorus, David Bell, director.
Each of the three programs features the five choirs from the Cincinnati Children's Choir: Bel Canto, Lyric, Jubilate, Preparatory Girl Choir and Men's Choir.
