Womenofchina.cn reports that The China National Theatre For Children has created shows which will help teach children the meanings of Chinese idioms.

This is the fourth time The China National Theatre For Children has designed dramas specifically to teach children the meanings behind popular idioms.

The idioms include: "blind imitation with ludicrous effect" (Dong-Shi-Xiao-Pin in Chinese), "self contradiction" (Zi-Xiao-Mao-Dun), and "satire of someone's false display of affection" (Ye-Gong-Hao-Long).

The goal of The China National Theatre For Children is to help guide young audiences to an understanding of each of the sayings by interpreting them into plays.

The set of shows will begin performances on October 21.
