Shane is excited and honored to be a part of Story Jam Solo.Lynne JordanIn a city brimming with classic blues and jazz voices, Lynne Jordans voice stands out as vocalist, bandleader, solo performer, and story teller. Drawing upon her own personal stories gleaned from a rich, fascinating life, her experiences are poignant, funny, and always accompanied by a song! Born in Dayton, OH, in a blue collar loving home she was sent to all white schools (imagine the wealth of material there) and Northwestern University where she began crafting her voice for singing, acting and storytelling. Jordan has created a bank of stories about her struggles with weight, show business, aging, and race and ancestral themes (Jordans great grandmother was born a slave and her grandfather was a revered preacher and entrepreneur who once escaped a lynch mob). Jordan has performed her works at numerous live lit shows in Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Kyiv, Moscow and Paris. Lynne is a 3Arts Make a Wave Artist and recently enjoyed a 2021-2022 Diva Residency as Artist in Residence at the Raue Center for the Performing Arts.Arlene MalinowskiActor, Playwright, and Educator Arlene Malinowski is the recipient of a Fellowship at UIC Disability in the Arts, LA Theater Ovations Award, and the LA Garland Award. She was also a finalist in New Plays From the Heartland and semi-finalist at the ONeill and Blue Ink Awards. Two of her original works have been commissioned by 16th Street Theater, where she has a long-standing relationship as a performer and playwright. As an actor, Arlene has worked extensively in film, television and theater. She views her solo & story work as an artistic extension of the social justice work she has been committed to for the last 25 years. She is a story-teller, a phraseologist, delivering lyrics straight from the heart taking you on an emotional journey through grooves and moods. Typhanie earned a BM in Music Business from Elmhurst University, Elmhurst, IL and a MA in Vocal Pedagogy from Northeastern Illinois University, Chicago, IL.
