To the Stage Productions, LLC presents the third annual Sing to Cycle: A Musical Revue for AIDS/LifeCycle on Friday, April 12th, 2024 at Morgan Park Academy’s Baer Theatre in Chicago, IL. This exciting theatrical event featuring talented Chicagoland performers will support the 7 day, 545 mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Benefiting the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center, the AIDS/Lifecycle raises awareness about the ongoing HIV/AIDS epidemic, honors those that have passed from the disease, and funds services such as medical care, testing, and prevention services.
This year, the show’s theme is “A Place Where We Belong” featuring group songs such as “Saturday Night in the City” from The Wedding Singer Musical, “Forget About the Boy” from Thoroughly Modern Millie, and “We Will Be Loved Anyway” from Rob Madge’s My Son’s a Queer. Co-directors, Abby Denault & Nikki Dizon, along with Marketing Director, Brandon Provost created To the Stage Productions to produce this special event back in 2022. Elizabeth Tuazon has been the resident Music Director and accompanist for each show, and this year features guest vocal directors Gavin Harper, Emily Killeen, Mack Alexander, and Declan Durr. Christina Pacini (alongside Nikki) has choreographed since the show’s inception but is joined this year by guest choreographers Brandi Brumfield, Aimee Jarzembowski, Amanda Wilt, & Hannah Kipp. These talented artists now added to the expanded production team have brought a refreshing and diverse flavor to Sing to Cycle 3.0!
Mark “Barty” Bartishell, Andy Breitbarth, CJ Butler, Michael “Mickey” Carioto, Kyle Cassady, Juan Castillo, Tucker DeBolt, Maddison Denault, Marisa DiBennardi, Justin Grey McPike, Mia Guevara Morgan, Alexandria Irby, Julie Jager, Sterlin Johnson, Jen Lenihan, Ian McCafferty, & Andrew Vega complete the cast and all have featured numbers to wow the audience! Many of these performers have graced the Sing 2 Cycle stage in the past, and have great passion for the cause; each of them is helping with fundraising and ensuring a successful donation to the AIDS/Lifecycle. In past years, the event has raised over $5,000 for the cause! Come out for this one-night-only event, Chicago, and let’s FIGHT AIDS!
