SapphFest: Summer Queerance at Violet Surprise Theatre

It's a cruel summer, leaving you queer on your own. So join Violet Surprise Theatre for SapphFest: Summer Queerance, a virtual variety show presented with L-oquence -- though not to the exclusion of other letters in our deliciously queer alphabet soup! Performances will take place Thursday, July 30, at 7:30 p.m. Central and Friday, July 31, at 7:30 p.m. Central. Each evening is unique, featuring a program of 8-9 performers who will regale (make that re-gay-le) you with storytelling, comedy, music, dance, poetry, performance art, and play readings. Between acts, we will play trivia. Our Q & Gay will pertain to pop culture, literature, herstory, and theatre. Each evening will feature a unique set of questions, and each 1st place winner will receive 2 tickets to Violet Surprise's Chicago production of Lavender Menaces, a festival of 10-minute plays championing Sapphic superheroines, dates TBD.
