Palos Village Players to Debut the Heartwarming Holiday Comedy:
My Kind of Christmas by Dana Hall—Bringing Festive Cheer and Laughter to the South Side
The Palos Village Players are excited to kick off the holiday season with their newest production, My Kind of Christmas. Written by local playwright Dana Hall from Orland Park and directed by Stephen Bell of Evergreen Park, with assistant direction by Peter Bushacz from Wood Dale, this charming play is set to bring joy and laughter to the South Side.
My Kind of Christmas invites audiences into the cozy, midwestern living room of the Smith family, where an unexpected visit from a group of lively carolers sparks a series of comedic and heartwarming events. The play explores the ups and downs of embracing the holiday spirit, the challenges of family traditions, and the pursuit of happiness amidst the seasonal hustle and bustle.
Featuring a talented ensemble cast, including Michael Galbincea, Michelle Belair, Justin Anderson, Jill Jeffrey, Tony Carsella, Renata Allelujka, Andrea Fleming, Rosa Hermosilla, Mark Erikson and Chris Cavanaugh, Ray Misischia, Sarah Callis round out the production team for what promises to be a delightful and memorable experience for audiences of all ages.
“We are thrilled to bring My Kind of Christmas to the Palos community,” said Director Stephen Bell. “This play is a joyful celebration of love, family, and the magic that surrounds the holiday season. Our goal is to create lasting memories for our audience and offer a heartwarming escape into the true spirit of Christmas.”
Playwright Dana Hall shared her thoughts, saying, “My Kind of Christmas is a tribute to the classic holiday stories we all love, but with a modern twist. It’s written for real people, set in the Chicago suburbs, dealing with real-life situations, wrapped in themes of love, loss, family, and change—all tied together with a ribbon of holiday cheer and a touch of timeless wisdom.”
Don’t miss the opportunity to experience the magic of My Kind of Christmas.
